How To Slow Down Audio In Logic Pro X

May 26, 2021 by Josh Frets

Really easy to do… once you enable the control that allows it.

  1. Preferences > Advanced > Show Advanced Tools
  2. View > Customize Control Bar and Display
  3. under LCD, select “Custom” from the dropdown
  4. enable Varispeed by checking the box
  5. now there’s a “Speed Only +/-0.00%” window you can use to drag the tempo up or down a percentage.

Works flawlessly with Cycle (loop) functions. Will even stay sync’d with anything external that’s linked via ReWire.
